As the title says really.... 9 time out of 10 when I give my girls a toilet roll tube, by the end of the day it's gone for a swim in their water bowl. Even if I stuff the tube full of hay!

Does this happen to anyone else? I'd love to know if they do it on purpose of if it's just by chance that it ends up there.

No idea about the cardboard, but I think sometimes they just like to make a mess!
Oreo has just leant how to drain an entire water bottle onto the floor of the cage for no reason at all.
The first time it happened I thought it was an accident or faulty bottle, but we are now on the third cage flood in two days, so I am starting to think it may not be an accident
Contrary little devils, aren't they!

Spike likes to put the cardboard toilet roll inners into things, mainly the nugget bowl. I've also found them inside the large cardboard tube, half way up the ramp and in the hay tray. He looks so funny trying to walk with it as it gets in the way. This is definately deliberate, he gets very irrate when it won't go where he wants it first time, but he doesn't give up untill he's done it. We wondered if he puts it in the nugget bowl to hide any left over nuggets from Peanut.

Haha my last trio, Jacky, Pip and Basil often did this with loo rolls full of hay!

I'm glad I'm not alone then! Although I'd love to actually see them do it. They must wait till I'm well out of sight.

Tonight I discovered they have chewed a section off their paper bag and taken it for a swim in their water bowl. At first glance it looked like a one-legged dead frog!View attachment 70177
So it does!
My piggies never really play with the tubes just demolish boxes. My rabbit used to carry them everywhere, usually to the back door so I thought he wanted rid of them!
