Am beginning to wonder whether reading everything on here is a good idea! Starting to turn into a nervous wreck.
Got my two boys about 14 months ago. Posted in the "Boars Dominance thread about my experiences of their teenage stages. And until now have assumed i was through the worst of it and that they were now settled as a pair, barring the odd little "go on, just try it pal" moment. that quickly blows over.
Am now starting to worry that there is still a likliehood of them having a major fallout.
A couple of nights ago, whilst I was in the other room, could hear the definite sound of a cardboard box being knocked aside as one or other of them dashed to the safety if one of the piglu's. When I went to check Barney was looking a bit sorry for himself and refused to leave the piglu even for a yoghurt drop.
However next morning, both were again eating from the same food bowl, and then rushed towars me for the morning sultana.
I figure this is all pretty normal behaviour.
I deliberately go two in the first place as everything I read beforehand said guinea pigs liked company - well you'd never have thunk it, reading some of these threads!! |)
