Threatening online.

What do you do about threatening online? today i got told by a 'friend' for the 100th time he was going to get me beaten up and told me i wanted a slap i played online saying yes. but now he says hes going to hit me. What should i do, hes always doing it. not too me too everyone. all i do was call him moody bum for not going on webcam. So should i report it too the police? Msn or just leave it?
 
did you save the convo? if so you can send it to msn and they might just remove him,or his IP provider etc,its bullying online and if you have the proof then you might have a case
 
I agree with Sehnsucht about recording the conversation, keeping it as evidence and submitting to msn. I would also suggest showing it to a trusted adult.

Is this person someone you know personally or someone you have never met apart from online? (like me!)

I think the usual way people handle someone online saying something unacceptable is to completely ignore that person as though they haven't 'spoken' ie not to respond to that query in any way, or to leave the conversation. I think the threats are a bit extreme, though, and certainly completely unacceptable and designed to upset or worry you. It is a form of bullying. I got threatened on msn last year too! I got told me and another girl would get 'smashed' the next day!
I saved the conversation... mum took it to the principal and they did absolutley nothing about it! Mum said to them if it gets any worse she would go to the cops!
This year I continued getting bullied (bad) by him and still the school just sat back and watched!

Save the convo though and send it to MSN then if that doesnt work take it to the police! They will do somthing about it :) Good luck nat!
 
msn were no help i told my dad who is very annoyed so am i he threatened me again, saying i was gunna get slapped because my friends were having ago at him for threateneing me.
it is bullying and this time he is not going to get away with it. I'm not only doing this for me but everyone else he tries to pick on, I'm printing off the logs tonight and me and my dad are taking them to the police station asap. His little game of messing with people feelings ends. now.

Terrible.

I once had someone messaging me on msn, someone that i didnt know whom apparently lived around where i live. He threatened me all sorts.

today he called me a bitch. (sorry) and said he hated me, so i sent him a message saying i was going go to the police if he didnt stop, and logged off, i came online a few minutes later to see 3 messages sent to me saying k chill and i just got annoyed by my 'attiude' sorry, and he will never speak to me ever again and he said goodbye. and i had such a evil laugh playing in my head going
HAHAHAHAHA NOW YOU NO WHAT IT FEELS LIKE TO BE SCARED! ;D
I'm here doing a little victory dance! I feel so free and powerful. i know he'll tell others who will laugh and frown at me but i really dont care. SCREW THERE OPIONS! I beat a bully, but sad thing is, i havent achieved my goal of getting him to stop bullying everyone, hell leave me alone, but i know he'll have other victims, and i know one day we'll make friends and ill be one, so in a way my war isnt over, not yet.

Dont let sado's wind u up over the net..they cleary have no guts to do it otherwise they wud of done it already!

Erm...I'm 13. :embarassed: I was on one of my old accounts, transferring files across from my old pc to the new laptop when he just came out with it.
 
i wudnt worry about it...its over the net and like i sed if he was goin 2 do it he wud of done it by now!

he is like that! it really annoys me! >:( hes nice in real life but on msn if he isnt flirting with me, or ignoring me, hes being mean to me, on msn ill say it 2 your face 2, hes just a waste of space and ill have to forget about him

Id show him up in front of his mates and say " youre totally a diff person on msn so why are you like this now" ;) ;)

and then just forget about him and tell him to go away
 
Nat this guy is a twerp and obviously gets his 'kicks' outta bullying people like you on msn, it's just not on, record everything and document dates etc... then let him have it cause it's people like this that do awful things in latter life... he also seriously needs counselling, can you advise the school can they perhaps intervene and help this guy :-\
