It is a good size but, I agree, it is quite expensive. If you're happy to spend that sort of money then you might also want to consider Ryedale hutches. I have only heard good things about the quality of these.

It does look good especially being well insulated!

We will be doing a smiliar thing to ours over the summer, probably cheaper too.

I was thinking it would be good in the summer to keep it cool, piggies have an indoor cage for the winter

I've decided to make mine Trieste - went down the timber yard earlier and the wood and felt is £46 (that is a massive roll of felt though, they only sell it in 10m rolls so Mum is going to have some to fix the holes in the shed roof). I have a roll of galvanised wire from a run I built, that was about £10, and some shiplap left over from building the shed. So I guess all in all it would cost around £60 which is the same price as the hutch I was going to get before delivery, plus I get to make it Doeylicious-sized!
