Thought i'd treat my piggies

That looks like a really good hutch. I have not got one but by the look of it, the ramp may be a bit steep. You could easily put a side to it so your piggies dont fall or jump off. What spoilt pigs you have!

I'd shop around a bit - that hutch is only 20" wide and when you put accessories in, hidey's etc. will be be surprised at how much space you lose :...

Any recommendations then if you feel it isn't wide enough, as i've not found anything wider when searching?

It's a well known fact that the recommended size for two piggies is 4x2ft minimum (RSPCA guidelines) If you measure 20" on a tape, you'd see how narrow it is.
There are loads on ebay;

This is nice if you have a grassy area...

to a new hutch

http://ukpetsonline.com/detail.aspx?ID=588 but would love a review if anyone has this hutch?

If you really like that hutch, could you stretch to the deluxe version which is two feet deep?

I very nearly bought it myself, but I decided to go for a hutch with a run at the front instead of underneath because I didn't like losing precious space to the ramp and worried about the piggies falling down the hole lol. I also wanted to go larger and Bunny Business don't do hutches bigger than four feet in that style.

I recently had my guinea pigs boarded while we went away, and the hutch that my 2 girls went into was that exact one. I can tell you from 1st hand experience that it is *very* cramped, and my 2 girls are even on the small side for their age. They also really struggled with the ramp, and they kinda seemed to just slide down it.

Thank you.

I've just ordered them a run, i'd love for them to have a run on their hutch but the space where the hutch has to go has a gap at the bottom of the fence and knowing my luck they would get out!

I think i'll leave them in there current hutch for the moment. We've descide to landscape the garden in sept/oct time, so will re look then.

I have this very same cage from bunny business, I bought the larger one with the hutch cover. I have found the top bit hard to clean out as there is a gap between the plastic bottom and wood side. The ramp is very steep and there is a big drop from the top to the bottom where the hole for the ramp is. At the mo I have covered the hole and they go downstairs in day, and up to bed at night. My OH is modifying it with a ramp side and a balcony and I'm going to order a ramp cover/ tunnel. He is also going to higher the ramp so its not so steep! Phew! So it will be great when we are done but been a lot of messing around. Ive also just ordered a run we are going to attach as even the large one hasnt got mush room downstairs once all their toys are in. Hope that helps.
