What do you do with piggies while you wash/dry the liner (something I'm guessing can take quite a few hours)? Or do you have two that you alternate?

Looking to get one but can't really afford two at the moment and just wondering how everyone managed :)

I have one set made up for mine atm (will be making more for them soon) when they are in the wash i put them on news paper or out in the run :).

I have 3 sets, because i seem to be unable to stop buying them things! But, i would say for me, i need to have atleast 2 sets otherwise its not practical, My boys have a large cage, as i dont always have somewhere easily for them to have floor time. Also, we have a house of 5 people so the washing machine isnt always free when i need it!

Hmm, guess I could line their cage with newspaper for the few hours it took to wash and dry :)

Do you put anything under the liner, like newspaper? (sorry it's just I've never had a liner before!) and how long do you find they usually last?

I have three piggies, which will be moving to either a 5 x 2 or a 6 x 2 cage with an upper level too. I have a large garden potting tray which will be their 'base' for hay, food and water and they are generally good with that, but I do find wet patches elsewhere too rolleyes

What about if you just have a spare fleece? I dont have liners yet so I have multiple fleece blankets and just swpa the sets over.

It will probably be easier for us all once summer is back as a wash takes most peoples machines anything from an hour to two hours but they drive in lesss than 1 hour in the decent weather, in which time the piggies can be having a run on the grass :))

You could always put a layer of newspaper underneath just in case :), depends how your liner is made though also.

Personally, i put dry nights bed pads under my cage liner. However some people use newpaper, and some use nothing at all. I think it depends if your going hand made or buying one :)

What size cage do you have now?

I don't put anything under mine as the backing is water resistant so pee stays in the topper and dries out,

liners are quick to dry if they are hung on the line or radiator ideally hang on the line before washing to get the hair/hay off

Well I'm changing my cage around when I move to either a 6x2 or 5x2 which ever will fit. I did pm you a while ago about making some cage liners :)

What cage are they in now? i have a spare 2 x 3 liner if you want it to try but I'm assuming you have a smaller/storebought cage, it wont be a perfect fit but your welcome to it

No they're in a large c and c now but its corner shaped and I use fleece and towels under them.

I want to order some cage liners for my more permanent (rectangle!) cage when I get it made :))
