I've hit a new low.

Toast only likes the seed heads from Timothy hay so I'm currently spending my Friday night searching through a bag of hay to separate them.

I remember when I used to be out drunk all weekend...

Now I'm pandering to a fussy and very pampered piggy. Oh how times have changed.

Godfrey and Duncan here. Just saying that our humans are rubbish compared to you. I hear that soon, they'll start mixing in different kinds of hay for us. We love the seed heads, we shall command our human to separate them immediately, possibly by using squeaks and wheeks.
 
Haha, been there, done that.

I have to limit the seed heads for my boar as they're higher in calcium but when he was recovering from bloat I let him have as manh as he wanted. They were what tempted him back into eating.

Just put a little pile of the seed heads in, it was like a piggy magnet! However, I glimpse a future where piggies sit on thrones, kicking away hay that isn't just right.
It's quite nice to know they're pampered though:love:

I wonder what it is about the seed heads that they love so much?

Toast does this thing where if she doesn't like the selection of hay on offer, she'll go around all the hay bowls, pick a big pile out with her mouth and dump it on the floor. I believe this is her way of protesting :xd:
 
We have a hay rack but they much prefer their pile. Hmm, maybe the seed heads are crunchy? A while ago, I apparently looked sad, so my sister decided it was a great idea to pop one in my mouth. Can't see the fuss myself:blink:
