It really is! I only joined yesterday, and I've already killed my iPod battery during one use! (: Haha. You guys are great! I love the advice, and the love for the piggies! ♥ R.I.P little piggies, to all those who have moved over to Rainbow Bridge....Good luck, to the newborn piggies' parents, and their piggies....and to those who are still much alive and healthy, I wish your piggies much happiness and love for the rest of their lives (:

My piggies are coming home today! In about 2 1/2 hours, i'll be picking them up. Is a clothing basket, blankets, water bottle (these kind..... http://www.google.com/products/cata...ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=10155000154105597224&sa) , and hay.... enough, or should I put a chew toy or two in with them?

Why wouldn't the clothing basket be okay? (The holes are small enough, plus the breeder is only about 5 minutes from where I live!) I put some blankets in, so its nice and cozy.. whats wrong with it? Wait, do you think that's their cage? HECK NO! Lol, it's only for them to ride in on the way home. Their cage is much bigger, haha.

I think you are suppost to have a safe mode of transport for carrying the GP'S! Like a pet carrier. Will you be walking to and from?

Your using a breeder? Did you never consider rescuing/adopting?

It is safe - In the car. The basket has very small holes, and its very comfy for them with blankets, food, etc. I will be placing them in the basket and holding it in my lap, in the car. I WILL NOT be walking! That'd be crazy! I really don't get how it's not safe. Besides, they're both females, so the mating problem won't even be going on. It truly is safe. They will not be hurt, nor damaged in any way.

Yes, I am using a breeder. I would have rescued/adopted, but these guys were going there anyways if no one took them, so I pretty much just rescued them from being homeless.

Piggies handed to me in an Easter egg basket !

I also thought you were going to be keeping them in a clothes basket!
When I agreed to piggy sit my daughters best friends guinea pigs (insisted more like - the family were going to go away for 3 days and just pop in an extra bit of food and make sure the water was topped up ! ) - I opened my front door to find two guineas crammed into a childs easter egg basket that you use for an easter egg hunt - the dad said sorry but he couldnt find the cat basket ! - they could have fallen out onto the concrete and been hurt or scarpered into the shrubbery never to be seen again!

Its a friendly forum and full of advice - you may even decide on more piggies and a bit of adoption!

Alright, I've switched to a box to carry them in on the way home from the breeders in the car. It's a little bit larger, and comfier.
