I took Muffin to the vets today as he is wheeking and passing blood when urinating. He had a stone removed 3 weeks ago. The vet I saw is an exotic specialist and so so lovely. He has since gone on to form 13 bladder stones. I am in shock and so sad for my baby. The vet is giving me time to think about how I want to proceed but I think I’m going to give him one more surgery and bladder flush then start him on the trial meds I Mentioned in my previous post alongside cystease. I am truly in shock but I’m not ready to lose him 😞😞😞

Oh Muffin, I am so very sorry to hear this, what a brave boy you are.
I can totally understand your shock, what a scary thing to find out.

Fingers crossed the surgery/flush goes well, my thoughts are with you x

oh my gosh what an awful discovery i am soso sorry.. your poor boy, i have everything crossed the surgery/flush goes well! please keep us updated🫶🏻

I’m sorry that’s not the kind of news you wanted to have. Wishing your boy all the best and you with your decision. Whatever it is, it will be the right one.

Thank you you have all been so lovely. Even though I know the ultimate decision lies with me would you give it one more shot or pts if he were yours? X

It is so very difficult. I think I would want to ask the vet is whether there was a likelihood of further stone development even after surgery. I’d want to discuss whether whether there is some problem with absorption of minerals and if so, whether there is any way to control it going forward.

I'm so sorry to hear about Muffin. Fingers crossed for a successful op and hope he recovers soon. I've had a piggy with bladder stones in the past so I know about your worries. Best of luck for today. xx
