hello, I have two piggies. Yeti is a 2/2.5,year old neutered male and Pepper is a year old female. I was wondering if I could add a third younger female? They live in a 2 by 4 c and c cage with a hay loft. They get on well, but are not particularly close. Any advice would be appreciated :)

Hi,

We have the same set up and added a third, the original female gave her a bit of a hard time to start off with and they still have their moments now, but generally they all get on well now, though i wasn't a member on here when i added my 3rd, so i just added her straight to their cage without slowly introducing or bonding baths, cleaning cage put etc, this is all stuff i have learnt since being a member on here.

One thing i will say is, i would advise to make the cage bigger, maybe 3 x 5 or even bigger if you can, they need lots of floor space for exercise etc.

If you have any questions about how to introduce a new piggy etc, please ask.

x

Ok, thanks for the advice. I'll definitely think carefully before adding another. I was worried about the cage being too small, I'll have to invest in some more cubes to extend it :)
