We have been thinking of getting a corner cage for when our 2 rescues arrive. At present our boys ( Wallace & Tim ) are in the lounge with us, they are in a 5' * 2.5' modified cage. Getting the above cage would allow us to have the new boys also in the lounge with us which is only fair.rolleyes

We have worked out the average floor space of the corner cage, which is a massive 15sq feet. We would modify this cage to make it more piggie friendly, like make the ramp more gentle and cover it fleece, Vetbed or make it into a tunnel etc.

We originally were looking at C & C cage but quite like the idea of being surrounded by G. P’s drool

Both cages would be off ground level. Because we need the space underneath. ;)

What do you all think ? :{ ?/

I don't think you get as much space as you could do with corner cages.

I've recently put my girls into a 6x2 c&c and I can honestly say they are by far better than any cage you could buy. You woud be able to adapt a c&c much more than you could with the one in the picture.

If you google c&c and go on images you will be truly inspired :)

Ive got two of these cages for my boys - 1 for my bonded boys and one for my single boys that has been separated in to two cages.

I put my DIY skills to the test for my bonded boys cage and added wooden sides to the included ramp and attached carpet to it for grip - the whizz up and down the ramp with no problems. I did use a tunnel attached to it for a while but my boys found it funny to poop/pee down the ramp and collect their mess in the bottom of the tunnel :)>>>

How about stacking the C&C's on top of each other? That way you don't lose any floor space.

This is really great thanks for the advice. Is the cage as big as it seems I take it there is plenty of room for 2?

We may consider this longer term as our family grows. Somehow I dont think we're gonna stop at 4 (2 pairs of boys) :(|)

I think so yes :) - on the top level my boys have their litter tray, food bowl, and two hidey houses - on the bottom level they have their sofa, strawberry cuddle house, two tunnels (and two teddies for when Shadow gets a bit frisky) ;)
