image.webp hello everyone

at the minute my pigs only have a one storey hutch and although it is a fairly good size, I would prefer them to have something bigger! So I'm thinking of getting this hutch? is this a good size?

they will also get unlimited time in their run in the summer and in the winter they will get floor time indoors!

thankyou☺️

Hi,

We have moved your post to a new thread, to allow more members to see it..

This hutch looks good although you may have to modify the ramp to make it safer for piggies to use, but we are sure that fellow members will tell you the best way to do this..

How many piggies would be in this hutch ? and what size is it ?

As its a rabbit hutch it does look reasonably large..

I think it should only house one small rabbit, I think two would be pretty squished!

I'll be using it for my two female piggies☺️

I've never owned a rabbit but I agree, they would have no room to hop

thankyou for the help

Is id definitely 4x2ft minimum per level? Many hutches are only 1.5ft deep which makes a massive difference to the overall floor space

Definitely not big enough for a bunster :)

Piggie wise though I've seen one of those hutches irl and it's about 3ft long and not very deep, so there wouldn't be a whole lot of room for piggies to turn around during mad dashes. Also the ramp takes away quite a lot of space both at the top and bottom, so unless it's 4/5/6ft with a ramp then it isn't overly suitable imo, on its own anyway.
I've seen some people buy a 4ft double for 2 rabbits thinking a 2 storey hutch would mean it is equivalent to 8ft of space but with the ramp, lack of height etc it doesn't work like that. That's for rabbits though, but I know guinea pigs do a lot of racing about :D
