I just wondered how do you keep the fleece in place? I would want to ideally be able to hoover out any poops daily but I imagine that would be a nightmare. Would velcro strips around the side of the base be ok to use? (sorry for the totally thick question)

I keep mine on the thin vet bed, but there a thread on here of instructions to make a cage liner, which holds itself in place.I can't see why the velcro idea won't work, except of course when the hooks get filled with hair.

I generally sweep the poos out because I found a vacuum sucked the fleece up as well and the pigs were scared of it.

Here's the links:-

I have an indoor cage. I pull the fleece so it's hanging over sides. Put the top of the cage back on over it and that holds it in place nicely

I have a c+c so don't know how useful this will be: someone had suggested to me to use pegs but both of mine just tried to choose the pegs so I've been using kerby grips. They keep the fleece in place no bother and the pigs can't chew them because they don't know they are there (I don't think they can see them tbh).

Thank you guys, I like the look of the cage liner but cant sew for toffee so I'm going to ask mil if she will help lol, I didnt think about hair being a problem with velcro doh.

I want to have a c&c but the parts seem expensive, I am planning on collecting bits after xmas is out the way as I need 2 big ones, the cages they are in now arn't suitable forever cages. I am a little worried I will manage to bodge making my own up though lol xx

C&C cages are really easy to make

Thank you, I have looked in wickes and also b&q but neither had any in, I am hoping I can find them once xmas is out the way, I am hoping to do 2 large ones with at least 2 floors, but I am a person that managed to mess up a supposedly easy birdhouse haha xx

You could try ordering them instore? I bought a hutch/chicken run when i first got piggie's (only had 3 then) because i couldnt find C&C grid's but two weeks later i found them sold the hutch and moved them in door's and somehow i now have 8 lol i could never keep them in a hutch now they are spoilt but happy and friendlier because of it

I never thought of asking them to order them in, I will definatly ask them though. Mine are indoors, I have 3 in a corner of my play room, they have there cage door open morning till night though seem to spend more time in the cage, they are fairly nervous of us still though. Then we have 2 in my living room, I need them in the same room but I'm not sure how to go about it, I had planned on having them side by side in c&c cages but have been told I cant else big ones will want to attack the babies as they are all boars. The babies at the moment only really have there cage apart from when we get them out for cuddles, so in the long term I am keen to get them made as want them to have enough space where they wont need any more (obviously I will still have them out for cuddles, its just its not always safe to when demonic toddler is about, he does try to be nice to them but he's only just 2 so can be a little rough still so they are only around him when there are both me and Neil home to help him stroke them)
