When I PMed the person (a different site) she said it wasn't as sturdy as she had hoped and that she'd had to reinforce it.

The way I want to do it is, Perspex at the front and panels around the sides, the base would be MDF (covered with lino or fablon). I was thinking thicker timber thats on the picture for the legs OR using actual table legs. The base would have wheels screwed underneath just as the one on the picture.

What do you guys thing would make it more sturdy? Not going over the top like XD

Maybe a supporting leg in the middle? I am no engineer however, my lego houses always collapsed... I have wiped out many a lego man family... plastic limbs everywhere.

I really like that, although Peanut would have a fit with all that transparency he would have a job to hide in dark corners! My gran had an oak tea trolly with two tears you sometimes see them in second hand furniture shops, with Perspex and lino added you'd have a very strong version of this.
Not sure from picture what this one is made of but made with thicker wood batons at the side (2 x 2?) would make a stronger frame, you could then run a baton horizontally under each floor (side to side) in the middle.

Yeah I was thinking of batons but I was thinking if I used table legs it might make it sturdy as well. I want to get the material next week because the living room is doing my head in and I figure if I sort the guinea's out first I can then get the bungalow sorted out.

No idea what the legs are but the bases are ikea desks I think she said.

What about supports (brackets) for each leg connected to the base? I've had one before with supports in the middle and it's never been a problem, just something extra for them to chew on or wee around so it's hard to clean lol

So this is how I want to do ours. Tell me if you think it'll work.

So for both the top and bottom I want to use those types of boards you showed me for the back and sides then for the front I want to use perspex. They will have MDF bases covered in something waterproof. There will be four legs with L brackets and underneath the base four wheels so it can be moved. I'll then add finishing touches and it'll be sealed with no nail, screws and aquarium sealant.

Well I'm really hoping I can afford to order the materials next week :) When it's done I'll post pics (unless I change my mind again lol).

Oh also on mine for extra support I have several batons under the base, I'll take a picture when I get upstairs!

Lol, my piggies have had so many different arrangements, but I find it exciting lol

Lol XD I just wanted something other than a C&C for the living room :) I may do it with the others at some point but I've got to figure that one out with Cesaro being next to the girls as he likes to kiss them through the grids lol.

Have you seen my setup and the separation part? I can't remember, you could always do it similarly? It's works well for my 2

It's cool, I could do that in my bedroom at a later date :) I think after this I'm going to concentrate on getting the bungalow sorted out and carpeted, need to get a new cooker etc. as well. Trying to get most sorted before Christmas :)
