posted a while bk that ben like to nibble fingers,hands, arms. just people in general. this still hasnt stopped but hes actually doing it harder now, he just seems to try nibble you when hes on your lap. last night i tried t give him cucumber insted, but he just moved round it n nibbled my finger insted! is this normal that he prefers nibbling hands rather than food, he does also nibble clothes so maybe hes not a cannibal, just prefers eating humans completly including their clothes lol
thought id add, its not a nasty bite or anythink like that, he litrally does just nibble at the ends of you fingers and nails, very odd lol
 
I don't think it's considered cannibal to eat other species... if so then most people would be :))

Some piggies are just nibblers. My Bo definitely is. Sometimes he nibbles to see if something is edible, other times he nibbles to get me to stop what I'm doing and put him down (usually nail clipping or some other undignified treatment)
 
Lexi likes to lick my fingers at the moment, but she used to be a nibbler. It may be that he likes the salty taste, does he have a salt/mineral lick?
I think its quite cute when they nibble, just not when they bite haha
 
I read somewhere says piggies like the salty taste of the skin... I have the mineral bar hang in my cage but they still lick our arms which is quite sweet and effectionate thing to do, But when it comes to fingers they do like to nibble a bit. Don't know if it's becasue the shape of it or it smells like food ? Try to wash your hands with unscented hand wash before handling them see if that helps.
 
yea he has a salt lick, he hastnt touched it yet, just likes licking n nibblling people lol
 
Perfectly normal - if they nibble hard it's because they need a wee and therefore need to be set down sometwhere else (ie on a towel or somesuch)


and need to feel comfortable

Yeah I'd say it was normal, mine do it. Sometimes playful, other times harder but when its harder i know its because they dont want me picking them up at that moment, or they need a wee etc:)
