So Larry has been to the vets for a check up. One of his issues is squeaking when pooping.

He is currently on the top dose of dog metacam and Cystease (for his joints initially but I suppose it will help his bladder now!) and weighs 1.1kg.

His urine was clear apart from some protein, no blood.

Some calcium crystals in his urine, but on xray no sludge or stones.

However the vet has noted his bladder lining is extremely thick. We're talking 2cm thick!

Does anyone have any ideas about why this is, if there's anything I can do? The vet is a bit stumped. I have the option to take him to Kim and Simon but as a last resort as it is a long way and he doesn't like travelling.

The vet had no more ideas re squeaking when pooping, thinking perhaps it's a combination of his arthritis and poo passing past his bladder.

Hi

The only thing I know of is to continue with the glucosamine and analgesics and hope that with time (and we are talking a long time) the bladder will relax a bit more again. I have had piggies with this.
