Sorry, another daft question from me :)) I have had Amber for just over a month now and Marmalade for about 2 weeks. They have never fought or shown any signs of fighting but they don't really communicate. They sit other sides of the run, and they don't look as if they are purposely avoiding each other (because they still eat the grass etc. as normal in the run) but I'm worried that them not really going near each other much is a sign that they may fight in the future or that they are still lonely?
I noticed today that a patch of the woodshavings were a little bit pink/red and I panicked. I checked Amber and Marmalade and I couldn't see any cuts or anything and then I noticed their pink plastic bowl is right next to where the patch of red/pink was so I was thinking maybe it had come off of that. I am hoping to get a 6 week old sow in a few weeks (Marmite) and I was wondering if putting Marmite in there with them would make this situation worse? I can't tell if they are on the edge of it boiling over into a fight or whether I'm being panicky for no reason :))

This is the same as my two! ive had spice for a week and she seems to have comandeered the shoe box (bed) and my norah has been booted out :( she curls up in the hay...

I'm just going to sit tight and wait! x x

It doesn't look like your girls are going to start fighting. They haven't known each other for long and they are still ajusting and getting to know each other. Animals are like us humans and still like their own space. Sometimes my girls are all squashed together and other times they are as far apart as possible. As for the pink shavings, just keep an eye on that. If yoiu spot it again, make sure one of your girls doesn't have bloody urine. Stop worrying.:). Jessica rabbit, may be you could put another box in the cage so they have one each
