I sometimes have people ask if it’s ethical to keep lethal piggies alive. Firstly, I don’t keep them alive, as they are normal guinea pigs who can’t see or hear, but don’t need any extra or supportive care. Secondly, they are very happy and confident piggies, who seem less nervous than ‘normal’ piggies! Thirdly, they just love life!
