there at it again!!!

anyone who has read my posts will know ive been writing on here asking about my guinea pigs behaviour as they have been squaring up to eachother a lot. well the past twenty-four hours i have noticed that punky-the dominant one keeps sleeping outside the hole away from drizzle, hes sleeping by his hay rack, and drizzle is sleeping in the compartment where all the sleeping hay is! its so wierd, i thought drizzle the less dominant one would have been kicked out really! do you think i should get him a pig-loo? ive only had them two weeks tomorrow-i though it would be a lot longer until they fell out!gemx:0:0:0:0

They've not necessarily "fallen out", not all piggy pairs will lay together or share "their space" with one another. I rarely see my boy pairs laid together & they have "tiffs" now & again (mostly raising heads but it never goes any further) but they're still friends.

I always make sure, with boys esp, that they have 1 of everything each. Pigloo, Water bottle, food bowl etc

Sweetie as long as they've not drawn blood, try and try again......
It's a dominance thing, all boars really try you out bad.....to the extent that you nearly rip your hair out!............if you can and they're not fighting with blood etc.........try again, do the bath thing, do neutral area..........if this does not work.....separate but try to keep them together, i did this i had to have a divider between our boys :{ and then they sat beside it and chatted all day, it was very cute xx

If the dominant one prefers to sleep in the open, let him.

My dominant first girl Minx chose to sleep on top the wooden hut, and it took at least two weeks until Mischief was allowed up for the first time...

Mine chose to sleep in the open too sometimes. It's nice they don't feel the need to hide all the time I think.

when i got my two freddie seemed the shy one and basil the main man oh how i was wrong . freddie is always rumbling and wagging his bum. basil wont look at him and backs away. freddie sleeps in the bedroom and basil is always sitting outside door or down stairs he gets kicked out in day but is allowed in at night they sllep together then dont worry
