The unmentioned problems with cages.

Tbh my kitchen floor looks just as bad right now because I was shaking off some of the fleece downstairs. And since I live alone and there's nobody else to complain I kinda want to leave it there til I've shaken off all the fleece needing washed just to see how big the pile gets. Am I weird? Yes, yes I am.

Our spare room looks like this a lot of the time. I sweep the hay up about 10 times a day when i work from home and it just reappears. I think the piggies throw it out of the cage when i go to get a coffee. They all look so innocent but i think inside they are laughing at me.

I'm looking forward til the warmer weather because I should be able to move them downstairs for a few months. We're south facing here so it'll be better for them then, but mostly I want them on the floor I can sweep up instead of hoover!

Not weird at all, my piggy cages get a full clean twice a week and a daily poop scoop but my carpets... sometimes only get cleaned if I'm having visitors!
I was thinking this about waterbottles too- piggy water bottles, scrupulously cleaned out twice every week, rinsed a refilled daily, my own water bottle... when it tastes like a fish tank? Coffee cup... when there are caffeine crazed lifeforms visible? :)

now ive placed cushioned flooring in there, its so much easier to sweep up.still looks like an extention of a farm !

It's newer carpet in that room than anywhere else in the house too XD I may end up looking for some lino offcuts at some point and just chucking them on the floor, between the carpet and the correx.
