Did anyone else catch this fasinating documentary on Channel 5 last night about conjoined twins Abby and Britney Hensall?

Nope, watching dispatches on Ch4. I've seen the pics and read about them though. Incredible girls. :o :)

Saw them in the paper! Very brave girls, they passed their drivin test! i still doin my lessons lol! xx

I saw the end of it

I was fascinated. I'm not sure how they will cope when it comes to relationships though.

Are these the girls that have totally different views on everything? But they do each other's hair etc..
I think we may have had a doco on them also or an interview in the newspaper. I think they've only just started letting people into their world.
Gee if it's the same girls they're very determined good on them :) :)

I wish I had known about that! I hardly ever watch television.

I find conjoined twins absolutely fascinating, though.

That's what i wanted to know about as well. Mind you those two women in Texas who are joined at the head don't seem to have a problem. I once saw something on them and they said that when one was engaging in a carnal episode the other one just zoned out! But then they had two seperate bodies these girls don't!

But the one thing i was really interested in and it was never mentioned was what would happen if one of them died! They both have their oen hearts and lungs although i believe the lungs do join further down. So what would happen if one of them ended up with heart failure?

I find it all so fascinating!

I stayed up and watched it as i remember when they were born and the documentary that was filmed when they where about five, They have grown up to become very pretty stunning in fact young women, but i feel for them for future relationships, it is going to be hard to agree on a guy, especially since they are two different people.
sort of.

Sort of? Of course they're two different people. =/

I doubt that they'd want to share a boyfriend.

Or perhaps they would, but.. It'd make more sense, in my mind at least, for them both to have their own partners. They may be conjoined, but they're not the same person.

yep, truly amazing! They've baffled everyone, but wont go through any tests, so everyone's mearly guessing on stuff. (I mean doctors and scientists)

Two individuals sharing a body

I was of the impression that they shared the pelvic and reproductive organs inside, so therefore if Abby didn't like Brittany's boyfriend sexual contact would be difficult,,

That what i meant by sort of , the top half is two separate people the bottom half is one.
But they are still amazing young women

Yeah agree with you Emma, but they are individual people where they have different personalities and so forth. The sexual part has to remain guess work for everyone! ;)

Yeah they do. They have adapted so well to everything else i'm sure they will find a way to cope with that too, i guess it'll just take longer to figure it out. They'd both need to be ready to move onto that stage.

Plus think of the hormones that your brain helps regulate during pregancy, what happens when you have two brains trying to regulate one womb?

I thought it was amazing especially the co-ordination and the driving etc

Woah! A lot to take in, I imagine!

I know! They had something ridiculous like 6 weeks of lessons?? When i think how bad my co-ordination was when i first started learning to drive!

I enjoyed watching them putting on their make up before school. They really impressed me with their eyeliner, I'm useless with mine. Still they prove the old proverb right don't they = two heads are better than one!

I saw the last half of it and thought it was really fascinating..I also raised the question to my parents 'what is one died'..that would be so weird, would the other die too? I know they both have their own organs, but hmm?
