The Tree Went Today

I love trees but they can become for too big for the average size garden. I once had a beautiful ancient oak, a relic of the Royal Forest of Knaresborough, King John’s hunting ground, it was estimated to be 600 years old and was totally hollow inside it. My son and his friends used to play inside it and climb out through a hole in the top. I absolutely loved it, it was protected and a majestic oak. We have a horrid old apple tree in our garden which will be getting the chop this year, no apples just lots of green fly!A92BC8C9-20C4-4C52-A53B-323D7B54644F.webp

Love the chickens.
One day - when I retire and have lots of spare time - I would love to keep chickens

The one with the dark neck George was my absolutely best pet, I still miss her so much even after 20 odd years since she passed away, she lived over 8 years. I found Some old photos of her yesterday and put them up on a thread. On this photos is MRs T (named after Thatcher, bit of a madam) George (mis sexed female) and Fez the Pheasant who she hatched from an egg!
