I picked it up at 4pm today and I had it built by 7.10pm! All by myself I might add - no help from the other half other than to screw in two screws that I couldn't get in! How chuffed am I?!?!?! And the boys absolutely love it! :))

And finally, the boys running around and playing in their new home :)

Have heard lots of purrs and wheeks coming from their house ever since!

Will let them settle and start putting some more things in for them to play with AND need to get the run built! :)

If you have any good ideas for toys for them, please let me know! :)

lovely hutch and for toys i use babys rattles and the end of toilet rolls

Its 5'2" x 2 x some other measurement I can't remember.

I have a 3ft run to attach at some point too (currently seperate but am going to attach it so they have more space! :)

I've put in a cat ball (plastic with tinkle thingys inside) but they don't seem awfully impressed with it - they've got two large tubes in there at the moment and I'm going to get more tubing for the run.

Any other ideas to keep them amused?

It looks great :)

Toys - piggies love plain paper bags to sit in, on & eat, loo roll stuffed with hay, willow balls (possibly).

Mine don't really "do" toys but they will entertain a paper bag :))

Ooooh, fab idea! Okay ... need to go shopping in order to find shops who give out paper bags ... this idea is FANTASTIC!! :))

I bet it won't look as tidy as that in the morning:)
Nice hutch though.
I can't seen to work the last picture out has the sleeping area changed sides? Is it just me?

Yep, I flipped it by accident! Couldn't be arsed to change it back - took me ages as had to upload them to another website for uploading them to this plus I had just uploaded pics to Facebook of my trip to the zoo and put up the hutch and sorted the piggies out in about 2 hours, taken the OH and daughter to the train station and picked him up again .... OMG its been such a busy weekend! zzz

Ha ha I know what you mean.. I went away friday night to an army do didnt get back in til 6 am slept til 11 then had a 3 hr trip over the penines home. Straight home sort piggies had a sort of lazy day today if cooking sunday dinner etc is classed as lazy, packed sons belongings as he is moving out tomorrow:(. Need sleep but trying to chill first.

Really? God - little sleep makes everything so much more difficult to cope with!

I started dog walking this weekend for a local Greyhound/Lurcher rescue (usually I sleep in until I wake - usually around 11am), I was at the rescue by 10am! Was at the rescue until 11.30am - during which time I had two dogs pulling my arms out of the sockets for about 20 mins until I had asserted myself enough that they behaved and walked next to me. When I got home, we took my OH's daughter to the Zoo which sounds relaxing but she gets bored quickly so we litterally took one look at whatever animal it was and moved on! Got home cooked tea, and then watched a movie (Jaws!). This morning I was at the rescue for 9.30am and got home at 12.15pm. Made lunch for my OH and his daughter, got the little one dressed while my OH went to the gym, when he got back I collected the hutch, got back, took my OH and daughter to the train station after unloading the car and looking through all the stuff she'd given to me and the guinea pig rescue, took them to the train station and so on PLUS I'm trying to lose weight for the summer holiday so did 40mins on the cross-trainer! I'm pooped! :(|) zzz

I love this hutch, and in particular the fact that you can lift the top - they certainly look as if they love it too. And I'm most impressed that you put it all together yourself, I'd be hopeless.

What a lovely hutch :) It reminds me of my girls hutch the day after they moved in to it :p Are your boys babies as they look tiny in the pic or is it just because the hutch is so big? My girls are jealous xx

Mine love the willow balls to chew and the carrot log roll (pampered piggies or the hay experts online) they also love paper bags stuffed with hay :)

I think Buddy is about 5-6 mths old and the two brothers are about 4-5 months old (they're all from P@H and they're cr4p for giving you information!)

Don't know if they'll get much bigger than they already are?!

Just checked with the info the seller sent me. The hutch is:-

height: 2 foot 7"
length: 5 foot 6"
depth: 2 foot 5"

The run (which I will put up in a couple of days) is:-

length: 4 foot
width: 3 foot
height: 1 foot 6"

I got an absolute bargain - she was selling for £120 - I got it for £50 plus, she gave me loads and loads of stuff for the rescue centre! Woop woop!

Thats a great looking hutch!

Looks nice and roomy too, what lucky boys!
