After a mad week of completely renovating and redecorating the front room so it can now function as a dedicated piggy/office area for me, I have managed to move all my current 23 piggies living in five groups and reconfigure their cages today, just before my OH returned with the big matching furniture he went to pick up. Piggies and furniture have both survived their big move; my back unfortunately hasn't!

The next few days will be dedicated to lots of clearing up and jiggling around. I will sew cut-to-size fleeces together once I and the piggies are happy with the new arrangement. Tonight, we are both too tired to do anything at all...

We've gone from this in the previous dining room:

Wow Wiebke it looks amazing! I prefer it to the older set-up, so you've done a good job. I like the paint colour on the wall too.

Thanks! It is plain white, which is a relief after the pattern orgy gone overboard which I had to live with for the last dozen years or so! We had to completely strip the old wallpaper, re-paper and then paint everything (including ceiling), so it's been a very busy week on top of keeping our customers happy and looking after the forum! My husband did the wallpapering and painted the ceiling, I've painted all the walls, skirting boards and windowsill and did all the cleaning jobs. There are still plenty of little jobs left, but we managed to hit the deadline for when hub had to pick up a matching wall unit we found on ebay.

You and your husband did well to do all that! You should be very proud.

It looks very good indeed Wiebke, you have worked so hard. I hope the piggies are being properly appreciative!

That looks so much neater. Have you tried correx it keeps the mess inside the cage so less cleaning for you x

I use correx for the table cages, but as I need to keep the floor area flexible to accommodate anything between groups of 12 piggies to pairs and anything from 2-6 separate cages in various formations, lino is a much cheaper and more practical solution. The cages will get a dedicated splash back at the back to protect the new walls. ;)

Aww bless you xx

Yaay. That looks fabulous. I may have to come and live in one of your cages myself ;p Here's hoping your aches and pains get better soon, well worth it though I am sure!

Wow! That looks great and was obviously a lot of work. Sorry to hear your back has suffered. Hope it gets better quickly.
