the new hutch is here (eek!) and it's huge!

it's been eight weeks and lots of frustration but it's finally here, and it is huge!

i love it! it's 6ft wide, 2 1/2 ft deep and almost 6ft tall. i'm just about to add all the bits, these are three lucky piggies! :)) x

there's 18! :{ i needed littler doors, i hate those great big long doors that go on forever, so there are removable panels in the middle (and lots and lots of bolts!) i'm thinking that too, and i'm dreading the amount of megazorb it's going to take to fill it! x
 
That would be my husbands worst nightmare, to come home to that! I have been thinking lately how nice it would be to give them even more space, must be a big guilt trip. :))

they're currently sitting in the top level of the hutch, i'm hoping that they won't do what they did when they moved into the last hutch, which was to completely ignore the stairs and sit up on the top level for six months! mallethead xx
 
wow! I had a hutch that big once from ebay when I had my two dwarf bunnies. Unfortunately when they passed I didn't keep it ... just didn't have the heart to fill it.

Two years later and I'm kicking myself cos of my two new boys! :))

Your piggies are gonna love whizzing around in that! Hope you've got an extra large bag of substrate ... speaking from experience ... your gonna need it! :)):))@)
 
Wow! I dont think I have ever seen a hutch so big. 3 very lucky piggies and of course plenty of space for any new additions ;)

And that hutch is fab! Very lucky piggies but cleaning it out is gonna take a whole day lol!
 
i can tell already it's going to cost me a fortune in bedding. i've considered maybe keeping the top level closed for some of the time, and letting them up to 'stretch their legs' as a bit of a change, especially during winter. i think one level alone is bigger than their last hutch top and bottom levels combined.

i'm dead pleased with it, they've even got little bannisters around the stairs(!) as my two older ladies have very poor vision!

believe it or not, they are still all on the top level, silly things!

i'm hoping now i've got the room another piggy may be a possibility... :)) xx

my dad said that last night, we could all live in there and move the pigs into the house! it was £300. i thought a bit steep when i first got a price, but seeing it it seems worth it now x
 
Looks lovely! I recently got a new 8ft hutch and have been thrilled with it. I bet your piggies will be super happy living in such a palace. 8)

I'm not surprised, that looks like a quality mansion! money well invested i'd say! =D
