All done. The 5x2 area will house Eva and her 2 daughters (3 weeks old) and the 2x3 will house Eva's son, Emmett until he is castrated and safe to go back with them.

I ended up removing some grids from the roof as it didn't need the support and the extra grids just weighed it down. The large area has a roof that opens fully or just half (length ways). The smaller area just opens half as that's plenty to get to all of the inside. The loft also opens just half.

I have put mesh across the area where Emmett will be able to see his siblings and mum. The loft area is not in use yet until the babies are much bigger. I also made some curtains (from a fleece blanket) to cover all the storage area under the cage. All in all I am very pleased with it. I have enough grids left to increase the 3x2 area as planned ( will add a 3x1 L shape) when Emmett is castrated and moves in with his mum and sisters and Edna and Eileen move into that area.

Let me know if you can think of anything i may have missed. The far end of the 2x5 will have litter trays. The tunnels etc are all very basic for now as I don't want the babies climbing above the height of the correx. Once they are bigger I have loads of other hides and houses to go in :)

Sorry for the essay!

youve done a fantastic job there, it looks great.
Where did you get that fleece from? It's lovely x

Thanks everyone. The piggies seem very happy and even better is that I managed to use my spare grids and correx offcuts to make Edna and Eileen a 3x2 C&C to go in until they can move into Emmett's area when he moves out :D

The ones in the cages came from eBay and the one made into the curtains is from Primark :)

That is amazing <3 Your guinea pigs are so lucky to have you as a owner. As i'm still living with my family, they don't allow my guinea pigs indoors (which is kinda annoying, because its always raining in England and I have to go out in the rain to clean, feed and all that to them) However i'm trying to get a shed for them to now live in. I love your set up, so I was wondering when I get the shed, may I use some ideas from your set up for mine. I totally understand if you say no, but I need a lot of ideas for it.

Thank you and of course you can use my ideas :) Everything you see there is only what I have seen from other peoples set ups. I didn't know where to start and got so much inspiration for seeing what other people have done. I'm still adding more bits as I make them. Today I made hay bags for them all.

It's a shame your pigs aren't allowed indoors. I'd miss mine so much if they weren't in the living room. I love watching them and their antics. It's more entertaining that TV :yahoo:

Awh thank you <3 I get so lonely some times when its raining really bad and I cant go outside to see them ;-; I am already stuck with crutches and its really slippy where the hutch is so knowing me I will most likely slip and I will break my arm as well :P As we had to use the guinea pig shed money for family problem and my brothers birthday is now a few days away I will have to wait at least 3 months until I get the shed :yikes: But with my own money I have now i'm getting all the toys and bedding ready. Hopefully the shed will handle the rain and storms. But once they are in their new home, no one will see me again, I will now sleep down there, I will have everyone do my shopping and stuff  Guinea pigs are way better than TV, definitely when they both run around like crazy :yahoo:

Quick update, the loft area has been removed as it was a pain to clean under but the main area has now been extended to a 9x2 cage. It's huge!
