Morning!
A couple of mornings ago my piggie Peanut was making a very strange noise (almost like a squeaker in a toy).....she was still eating and drinking, but her sister Butter kept going up to her knowing something wasn't right. Suddenly she sneezed and the noise stopped. She has been fine since......however this morning I heard the same noise again and automatically thought it was Peanut, only to find it was Butter this time making the noise. Again, she was eating and drinking as normal. Like her sister, she then did a huge sneeze and the noise stopped.
I havent changed any food or washed their bedding in a detergent...everything is the same. I wondered if anyone else had experienced this and what could cause this?
Thankyou 😃

Occasional sneezing is fine and can be caused by dust. Piggies have narrow airways and hay dust will irritate them, and can cause sneezing and for their breathing to become more audible until they can clear it. Check your hay isn’t dusty. If you are concerned it is part of another issue though, then do see a vet.

Thankyou so much😍
Ahhh.......it possible it is the hay - it is a new bag I brought last week and thinking about it now, the first day I used it was when Peanut started making the noise! I am going to change it now so it doesn't irritate them any more!
Thankyou x 😃
