Can anyone explain to me the high divorce rate in socks?

We have about 10 single socks without a partner, but where does their partner go? Socks just seem to vanish!

Now in a more serious wavelength does anyone else have the same problem? Where do you find your missing socks.

Clare xx

Oh yes we have a very hungry sock monster in our house, but who here wheres odd socks, i mean who says they have to match..

Well i do and proud of it(well actually i don't have a matching pair, so thanless i don't want cold feet, i go odd) ;D ;D ;D ;D

I don't ::) they are never seen again... my youngest sons are the worst, i buy new ones once a month :o

josh is 13 and a great sock loser but i always find them covered in dust at the back under his bed where hes kicked them rather then carry them to the laundry bin :tickedoff:

I had a sock turn up in my sock drawer just last week which had been missing for several months. Fortunately I had kept the other one just in case it ever did turn up.

I personally think that they disappear down small wormholes and arrive on another planet on the other side of the galaxy where a race of reptilian creatures known only as "Y" believe they are presents from their god Zoggo the Kind!

Or maybe I've just seen too many episodes of Star Trek/Stargate etc. ::)

Had to buy new socks today! Never find the missing ones! Where do they go? Does my washing machine eat them?

Most of the time I just wear odd ones! Most people think I am a bit eccentric anyway so I guess wearing odd socks is one of the less crazy things I do! :D

they all seem to go into the washing machine together, and come out single... :o

Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate, Buffy The Vampire Slayer... basically most sci-fi programmes/films.

Geek and proud :D

I buy each of the girls plain socks in the same colour, dd1 pink, dd2, purple, dd3 yellow and dd4 red. 8)

Noooooo ;D you must be very kind hearted, we all just use cricket balls ;D

I roll the OH's socks up into balls and pelt him with them - is this wierd? :D
Nope you're not weird. This is normal. It's great fun ... especially when they're asleep on the sofa.

My flaming memory is going. I meant to say also, that I put socks to dry on the radiator and I reckon all our missing ones have fallen behind. If we ever move and someone replaces the heating, they're going to have a hell of a shock!

LOL if anyone knows where they go, please let me know! :D

Have 3 drawers full of 'them! Half are missing the other ;)
