So I have the most lazy piggies ever. Unless there a tomatoes involved, you can forget coming outside of their tunnel. "Slave, you haven't brought us carrot? You are unworthy of nose strokes."

I also think they're bored indoors, and I've tried tubes of hay, folded at the ends with vegetables in, hiding herbs in their cage for foraging, chew sticks, varieties of cuddle cups, their "tree" with sticks coming out of a block of wood, on which to spear said carrot, they have a carrot shaped hay holder, apple shaped food bowls, fabric hammock with flowers on, ladybug pouches, and treats galore. They don't seem interested.

Today, the lazy little fluffballs were lying their little whiskers off when they told me they were hungry. So I hung a little washing line of string over their cage, and dangled some "Christmas crackers" from it. Just a loo roll scrunched in the middle with string, stuffed with hay and cauliflower at either end. It looks adorable! When I tied them to their washing line, immediately they ran over to the same one, trying to nom the hay, but they went to the same cracker, so it bobbed up and down like a little see saw!

I have never seen them so excited and just wanted to share the idea in case any other slaves wanted ideas for indoor fun :)

that's adorable! I might try that as I have a couple lady girls! X

That sounds lovely, I don't suppose you have a picture? Would love to see

So here we have this week's cracker! Every time I came near their hutch armed with a camera, they scuttled away and pretended they weren't enjoying it! But I just about managed to catch Biscuit in the act!

They deserved snuggles for effort, I think :)
