Teenage Guinea Pig
After 6 months the old cage was near enough useless (in part because Betsy decided to install a window) to the point where they've had to spend the past two weeks in a 2x5 on newspaper. So I decided I'd make the guys a new one:
The old cage being broken up in the Garden:
All the bits ready:
Didn't get any pictures of the actual making but:
Then with the new fleece, newspaper, towels in:
Fully in position, generally didn't think we'd be able to get it in but a lot of work and maneuvering finally got it in:
Then finally with their bits in including a lovely tunnel made by Audioheart:
It's even bigger than the last one and took me hours to make (also got a very sore hand from cutting into/ through 4mm correx ) . So very happy and proud of it though. Fingers crossed this will last us a couple of years.
Ewww just wanted to add water bottle has now been fixed on and pellets are coming tomorrow (just when I thought everything was done realised I used the last pellets yeasterday).

works out to be about 5 grids length ways and 3/ 3.5 width.
