Some of you will know that after a severe illness, massive falling with her herd and a refusal to accept another guinea (for the moment). Little Cagney has decided she wants to live on her own for now. Cue major shed redesign to ensure they all have the room they need and no one suffers as a result of change.

Thanks to my wonderful husband who is a genius and was motivated by the fact he did not want a house pig (!) he got about sawing, measuring, hammering etc yesterday whilst I was competing in a half marathon. All I had to do when I got back was build the correx (which I mucked up!). But very happy with the end result. Some small changes needed but the piggies are so happy!

So Cagney now has a penthouse suite above the original L shaped C&C (you cannot see all of the bottom run as I could not stand far enough to take a full pic). They all love it, downstairs piggies are very happy and Cagney just loves her new home. She can see and hear the others but they cannot get to her. IF we find her a friend in the future then she will have plenty of room to share as well.

SO piccies:

And a pigture of our new girl, Sniffles...who is settling in very well with her new friends and is the loudest piggy I have EVER had!

AND I got to beat my PB half marathon time by 2 minutes! Result!

Ah thank you Claire. I have been meaning to post pictures for ages but just too lazy. However, on a rainy day on a Monday morning when procrastinating with work...ideal time!

Glad you like it. Have to say, I am very pleased with the result and seeing Cagney so happy at last makes it all worth it!

Looks amazing, both done a great job! && Glad Cagney is happy, she's gorgeous, looked so chilled on the hammock! :)

Well done on beating your personal best too! :)

Thanks H&Frank! The Hammock is her new thing, she has always liked it but currently its where she spends a lot of her time. I hung it slightly higher and she loves swinging in it!

Thanks re the PB, its an exceptionally hilly course so I have put in a lot of miles and it paid off thank goodness!

Bless her! Sounds like fun!

I may get a hammock, for some reason I didn't think piggies could use them, ha ! :D

Go you! Hard work pays off, clearly! :)

Thanks! Actually with he Hammock, I did'nt think so either, but I saw a pigture a few years ago and tried it. Some like them more than others but I now have 6 hammocks and at least three of my guineas absolutely love sleeping in them. Definitely worth a go...and they look so cute in them too which is an added bonus!

That looks great. Glad Cagney is happy and little Sniffles is just adorable.

Well done on the half marathon.

The set-up in the shed looks fab. Very clever. I wish I could do something like that in my pig-room so I didn't have to keep bending down! The piggies must be very happy to have all that space. Cagney and Sniffles are both gorgeous. I hope Sniffles doesn't live up to her name!

That is one of the best sheds I have ever seen! And I love the photo of her swinging from her hammock! I'm very jealous of your shed.

Hiya

Thank you! We built a platform made out of hardwood and use the sides of the shed, some batons and some legs to secure it. Then C&C on top which means I can then section areas off for sick piggies etc. It means you get loads of storage space underneath and the guineas prefer it as you are not looking down on them. I will often be rummaging around underneath to see a piggy nose through the C&C sniffing at me to see what I am doing LOL!

Re Sniffles...I agree!

Wow thats a huge compliment Goth Mummy thank you!

Yes, she does love her hammock. Just been to give her a cuddle and she was so happy in her cage she refused to be caught, little monkey.
