I’ve never bonded a pig before…following all the advice here are my girls meeting. The baby is being very dramatic and her squeals are scaring me a tad but with not blood being drawn I have no interfered. Twizzler is the tan/white she is dominant over her sister so I’m not surprised she is the one giving the most corrections to the baby. Twix her sister did some rumble strutting when Twizzler tried to tell her off but she’s rather nonchalant about the baby. They leave the baby alone to eat hay and then come back and nip at her (no teeth). I’m guess this is all normal for them figuring out the higherarchy! But the baby being so dramatic is a little nerve wracking! The pigs meet 2

A few minutes after the video both Twizzler and baby did a quick groom (not next to eachother). They are now allowing baby to come to the middle for some hay…although she is keeping her distance! Twix then sniffed and quietly asserted dominance over baby after they settled. Twizzler is not over with baby licking her booty and kind of laying in front of her!

I'm no expert with bonding, but babies do tend to be loud and sometimes get in a panic.

Hoping somebody comes along who has more experience and can tell you more.

Sounds positive.
Bonding can be very dramatic and scary for us.
Babies can be particularly loud.
As long as there’s no blood drawn or obvious aggression it sounds encouraging.

We are about two hours in and made the move to the freshly cleaned cage. Everyone is settling in still but no more major screaming, thank goodness!
Little scary for me but the baby seems happy to be chased and bossed around!

It sounds all pretty normal to me! :tu:

The two bigger girls are in control but have accepted your little one. Babies are always very dramatic and vocal.

Brace for some rather emphatic dominance in the coming two days and remove anything with just one exit - it will be short-lived. After that, the little one is in. :)

Thank you! The drama my goodness but they seem to be getting on well with her, even now back in the cage!

All their hides are “tunnels” now with two exits and new so it doesn’t smell like anyone! My older girls were very excited for new hides which I think also helped the transition!

So happy it worked out 🥰🥰

I do love a happy ending.
Enjoy the new herd, it’s better than a soap opera
I was so nervous but my big girl Twizzler took her under her “wing” and even though she chases her the baby comes right back to lay with her! It’s truly adorable…and yes also full of drama 😂 thank you so much I can’t wait to see how the baby grows up!

This looked exactly what my Posh was like accepting baby Tilly, although Tilly was completely silent 😀 She would nip her if Tilly looked straight into her faceView attachment 262500
Yes exactly! She still tells her off if she is face to face to her but they are always side by side now! Posh and Tilly are adorable!
