The boys are at it again...
Gus has always been the 'big pig' and Walter has always had little pig syndrome about it. Walter constantly rumblestruts his way around the cage and Gus let's him...for a little time anyway.
They are now both the same size and weight so the fun of dominance behaviour is once again being held.
I have them out in the kitchen so there's loads of space and have removed hides with one entrance while they battle it out once and for all who the big pig is.
Quite worried that it results in a fight so I'm supervising with oven gloves and towels at the ready. If they do have an actual fight and obviously have to be separated, I'm not sure that I can give both guys the space they need cage wise.
Fingers and paws crossed that it comes to an amicable agreement!

Oh no! I hope they do not fall out.
So far it's just chasing to mount and a bit of teeth chattering. I'm finding it strange that Gus is the instigator as he's usually so chilled out. I think he's had enough of Walters attitude.

You have my sympathies. I am doing exactly the same thing with Hector and Jack right now.....they are rumbling and chasing in my hallway :(

It's pretty nerve wrecking isn't it?! They seem to have calmed down for now (Gus is having a nap).

I wish I had had warning. After 5 months I came home to blood shed, cuts and bites. Poe beat up Edgar but I can see why now...Edgar has little pig syndrome and ALWAYS starts with Poe. Trouble is Poe is bigger..... ha

My 2 are the same lately (little terrors) they fight over the silliest things. They have 2 of everything in their cage yet they still fight over the same thing. :box:I think it's just boys being boys. Fudge used to try and hump Alby all the time, until Alby figured out how to karate kick fudge with his back leg. It's so funny. Fudge soon got the message. Lol.

My boys are 6 months and 1 year 6 months. Bacon has clearly shown his dominance as the older pig, and Eggs is submissive, but sometimes he just gets fed up with Bacon. Talk about stealing veggies! Bacon originally steals, but Eggs won't have any of it!

Veggie stealing seems to be my boys favourite thing. "I don't like broccoli...but you have it so I want it!"
I go through these episodes every few months. They're both nearly 2 so hormones have come and gone (I think). Just have to roll with the punches (or humpings) and hope they work it out without any bloodshed.

Good luck hope things settle soon. There's never a dull moment when you've got boars. Lol.

I hope its going well. mine got tired of rumbling, chasing and "nose offs" and have settled down to sleep together :luv:
