Finally everything arrived and I will put together the fleece bedding tomorrow morning. Waterproof pads on the bottom, next a layer of cotton diapers for absorbency, and finally thick soft anti pill fleece on top. All clipped onto a single piece of coroplast made to fit the bottom of my C&C cage, inside the coroplast base. The fleece will be pulled taut before clipping to the piece of coroplast, so it is very flat and smooth and easy to vacuum.
The room is a bit more crowded. I wanted everything to be handy within reach, so I have a cute little bookcase holding baskets full of pads, folded extra fleece pieces on the base of the C&C cage, and a large plastic storage tub for the diapers and bag of pine pellets. They are going to have a little kitchen area, a coroplast box with very low sides, lined in pink fleece, a diaper on the bottom, and a layer of pine pellets. This will go under the hay racks so less hay gets tracked all over the cage.
And last but not least, the shop vac that is permanently plugged in and set near their cage so vacuuming of poops will be easy peazy.

As always, I think the choice of what to use is up to each person, but I'm excited about all of this and think the pigs will enjoy it.

Still working at getting it right, I'm sure there will be changes but so far the piggies love the soft fleece, and I love that the dark color I chose does not seem to show poops much (although I did a 'test drive' with the shop vac and it is easy to vacuum, I think I'll start with twice a day and see how that works. I have installed fluorescent lighting ton the 1st floor to help light the area because it seemed too dark, and the lighting shows up everything.

Looks great!

I never had the patience for fleece!

You have lights in your cage, how cool!

Can I be cheeky and ask for picture of the whole cage :)

It did indeed take a lot of patience to assemble all the stuff and put it together, but now that it is in place I don't think it will take much more time than shavings, however I'll update and let you know. I've taken another picture but because the room is small can't show the entire cage, there is a stand under the first floor that is not shown and that is where I store the folded fleeces I am not using.

It is almost time for the second vacuum. Based on some accounts of other owners I had expected that I would have to change the fleece daily because of white hairs, debris etc. on the black background, It is actually much less noticeable than I expected, I might be about to get away with longer than I expected between changes especially as the shop vac is doing a good job.

An update to the fleece: As cute as the kitchens were, I removed them. They added work and did not really help, since the shopvac was picking up poops and hay and all. I've included an extra layer of diapers under the hay area since the piggies are there a lot and pee more in the area.

I got them on Ebay but most feed stores will have similar ones. I put pellet food in one and chopped veg in the other.
