cuddles

Hi everyone i have been doing a lot of experimenting with boars and so far i have a 100% sucess rate for rehabilitating boars socially and pairing them up together as friends for adoption.I have recently got a heep of older boars that had lived with sows and have been breeding boars all their little lives. They are extreemly unsocial and need to be rehabilitated.this seems to be my toughest challenge yet with boars. They all currently live alone as try to kill each other if near one another(other boars i have had would have fought but not attemptt to kill straight away!) so i thought this may be a neat experiment to carry out and update as we go along.the first stage we are in is that they have been seperated and kept in semi isolation so no friends

Would be very interested in your step by step approah and results...keep us posted and good luck!

I'd be very interested too, trying to bond two grumpy boars right now.

yes frank would be easy to desex but the problem is that it would not cure there agression and so they would fight.

I was busy yesterday and did not get on here.yesterday i put a already social juvenile boar in with a younger adult boar and they accepted each other fine.i made the area they had bigger (has been almost a week of isolation at that stage)and then as they had spent 24hrs together and had slept snuggled in the pigloo i changed all bedding and then added another younger (15mth old) boar to the other two and they are also fine.later this afternoon a boar that had become depressed and sad lol so i have put him in with my bunny who loooves pigs and they are very sweet together.so far so good.I have decided not to attempt to rehabilitate one of the boars as he is 4yrs old and is extreemly agressive. He is even aggressive towards people and i have copped 2 bites drawing blood from him already.he is going to come in to the living room for a few days so i can observe him closer

Good luck with all the hard work your putting in, I hope it works out for you, and your boars. :)

hi everyone.we now have got 5 boars living in a happy little group.they have kicked the rabbit out of his house lol but no fighting what so ever.2 are living alone still
