Well now that summer has (finally!) arrived, Betsy has been complaining about being to warm in her winter coat. Between us we both decided that today she would shed her winter coat and put on her summer frock. She was a bit nervous and asked me to check An Illustrated Guide to Hair Cutting which she helped me write in case I had forgotten what to do! 🤣 I assured her I knew what I was doing so she said that I could get the scissors, comb and hair trimmers out. She thoroughly approved of the Ironing Board Salon snacks which today consisted of mixed lettuce, rocket and freshly cut grass from the garden.

This is what she looked like before I started trimming away.

Twenty minutes later and she had magically changed into her summer frock.

Your guide is fantastic, my boy’s co-operation skills are not! After a few coriander sprig bribes, he wised onto my plan, made the haircut difficult so now he is only half done! He looks ridiculous so he’s going to have to be a brave boy again a bit later to get the rest of it done! I’m sure he will appreciate my efforts when he is feeling cooler!
 
Betsy, your summer frock is lovely and you fill it beautifully.
You are so lucky having a slave who listens to your wise guidance and knows that there's more to a nice new furdo than just the scissors comb and clippers. ✂️✂️🥬🥕

Betsy's co-operation skills were non existent first of all and it was a 2 person job and a 2-3 day clipper/scissor nightmare. We eventually got to a place that Betsy understands and knows she feels much cooler after I have trimmed her up. She is happy as long as the Ironing Board Salon snacks are up to her high standard.
