Here's how this evening's ritual seems to go...first time it's happened:
1. Figaro is sitting somewhere
2. Fenn (Name still unsettled) decides he wants to mount him
3. He tries it, chasing Figaro around
4. Figaro runs away, but Fenn keeps trying
5. Eventually, Figaro gets tired of it and annoyed, so he rumblestruts at him. They try to get their heads higher in the air than each other
6, Fenn still keeps at him, and Figaro does that sneeze/sniffle thing and raises his fur.
7. They nip at each other, no blood or wounds appear, it lasts about 2mins-3mins, then they pretend nothing has happened, sitting side by side eating hay, popcorning and sitting in the cozy.
Half an hour later, it starts again, but maybe stops at step 5
I read the boar dating and dominance thread, doesn't seem like war... but how do I know when they're really ready to go at each other?
