Right so next year in may ish time I shall be moving out of my parental home and living with my boyfriend of 8 years :) But the most exciting thing is at the moment my parents have never let me have the piggies indoors (I have 13 :p) but my boyfriend loves the pigs and agrees that when we move out they can come in from the heated shed and be in the house! :(|) So even though it is quite a way off I still want to start getting things in order for them to be inside such as housing. I have been looking at cc cages but we were wondering how sturdy they are? My piggies are chewers rolleyes and then their is what to put in the cages? Do I stick with shavings? So if anyone has done the big move from a shed to inside let me know you experiences! Thanks very much!

Sounds very exciting, we don't have C&C for our girls but have seen many in use and they are fab and sturdy. Our run's are made out of the grids used in C&C. As regards to bedding People often used fleece or vet bed so that is worth investigating

If you have a search around the housing section on the ovum you will find lots of C&C info? Also here is a link to a site that shows you how you can make them http://www.guineapigcages.com/howto.htm

Good luck, I bet you are excited about having them in with you.

Aww thank you so much! That is really useful! I will start my investigations now so I can be prepared. I am sooooo excited :)

As well as the connectors it pays to secure the grids with cable ties, as you know piggies can be very determined at times to nose their way through things :))

congratulations! How exciting, both for getting your own place and you being able to have our piggies with you in the house. I admit mine are in the house and slowly overtaking the ground floor with all their bedding, water bottles, because you never just have a couple!, stuff gets everywhere. That includes their little brown presents and mine are caged!?

I just wanted to say, it's nice to have great news. Its been a long time but still remember how I felt when I moved in with my now husband - so excited :)p.

Aww thank you everyone! Such kind comments :-) that's why I love it on this forum! Everyone is soooooo nice! X x x

Are your piggies living as a herd, pairs, trios etc? I may have a few pics for you to cover different set ups.
