This photo contest is open to anyone, so feel free to reply with your photo. The winners will be announced after Thanksgiving. You're required to post in this format:

Behind the Photo: Feathers is here with her older sister Ellie. You can see them feasting on the platter of lettuce, cucumber, basil, and cranberries.
Notes: Feathers was adopted with Ellie from a guinea pig sanctuary in Wyoming. We're wishing a happy Thanksgiving to all of those piggies and hoping they found their person!

It’s a lovely idea to organise your own photo contest.

However please make sure that no photos are to be submitted that break forum rules Ie no dressing up. If in doubt please refer to the rules and previous photo competitions organised by the forum staff.

Also how is the winner to be chosen? Please can you just be clear on that, also.

No - it’s absolutely fine. Having a fun competition is perfectly ok. And who doesn’t love piggy photos?
Just wasn’t sure if you were going to do it on likes per photo or whether it was just your favourite. Just so folk know what’s involved.

Thanksgiving Photo Contest:
Name: Sugar and Cookie
Behind the Photo: Sugar and Cookie are here cuddling together. They are sitting in front of a holiday backdrop with warm decorative lights.
Notes: Sugar and Cookie were adopted together as a bonded pair, after being surrendered to an animal sanctuary in Washington State. We are thankful to have these sweet girls in our lives. Wishing you and your guinea pigs joy and happiness this Thanksgiving.

Behind the Photo: Sweet little Ron is sitting in front of fall colored decorative flowers and pumpkins. His front feet are resting on a small block with a Happy Holiday card.
Notes: Ron is a two and a half month old gentle friend. He was adopted after the owner could no longer keep him. We will have greater celebration this Thanksgiving because Ron is part of our family. We wish you great celebration with your sweet guinea pigs too!

Behind the photo: Peanut is nibbling on a carrot, next to Thanksgiving decorations, on Thanksgiving Day.
Notes: Peanut is a six month old sweet and cute guinea pig. He was adopted at a pet store with his brother in Washington, so he could keep his brother as a bonded pair. He is such a blessing.
