My Finn took his Thanksgiving bum bath for when he greets people who will be visiting our house for Thanksgiving. Everyone adores him, so his job is to make sure everyone is greeted properly. :)

He was pretty soiled. On special occasions, he gets bum baths, and maybe when he looks uncomfortable. I try not to give him baths often.
 
Aww bless him. I have to give my long haired male a bum bath. He has a sticky out penis that makes a bit of a mess. I use a small amount of dilute hibiscrub and a cotton pad to clean immediately around his man parts and his back legs once a week to prevent him picking up infections
 
He was pretty soiled and I wondered if I should increase his bum baths. I read from some members that bum baths are not necessary. He just smells pretty bad unlike Lara who has short hair.

His fleece beddings are always well cleaned and soaked in vinegar to get rid of bacteria. But I might start giving him baths more often to minimize sickness.

Some boars have a strong scent but if he is getting soiled then that needs tackling. I keep my males hair cut short at the back which helps too. For Donald his is all urine that he gets covered in and he went through a stage of having uti's so my vet recommended regular bathing of just the affected area to prevent the recurrence

I gave my long haired girl Tiggy a bum bath yesterday, she had a bit of a wet n whiffy widdly bum! She wasn't over keen on the blow dry afterwards! Naww!
I do trim her bum hair too as it's easier to keep her clean :nod:
