After just reading another thread in which we've helped make a real difference I thought it would be useful to collate a collection of testimonials about TGPF, which we could use for promotional purposes :)

You know the sort 'I've been using TGPF for x, it helped me with x, the community is like x' as an example.

I love this idea and love TGPF so over the weekend i'll sort one out for you :) :)

I came across TGPF when one of our guinea pigs hurt her foot and, as a relatively new pet owner, I needed advice on what to do. The speed, quality and friendliness of the advice and support given to me was so good that I stayed (having never been a member of a forum before) and I love it here. It really is a friendly inclusive forum.

I came here for advice after loosing one piggy, and close to loosing another, so I was at the end of my tether. After being to a couple of vets, I really needed back up advice, and general opinions. I honestly don't think my piggy would still be here today, without that advice. Just wish I had known about the site earlier, as may have been able to save my other piggy too.
I have gained more piggy knowledge, and I am extremely grateful for all the advice and support I received. There must be lots of piggies that have been saved due to this site.:yahoo:

I had acquired a guinea pig as a result of fearing for his life but I knew nothing about guinea pigs. Every time I trolled the Internet to get some information this forum came up with answers. I had never joined a forum before and resisted joining this one until finally I had to ask a question that all my searching had not yielded an answer to. I was impressed with how quickly I received very helpful and considerate replies and so have stayed with the forum for almost 3 years now.. Thanks to this forum I was able to recognise dental problems, UTIs and URIs in my piggies straight away & get timely vet treatment. The forum is a friendly, considerate, helpful community. The topics covered are extensive. It has also turned out to be heaps of fun and the best place to drool over gorgeous piggy photos and videos!

I joined when one of our first piggies was poorly and returned a year later when she was poorly again. I received excellent advice and enjoyed my time in the community so stayed.
There is something special about TGPF. I love it here and believe as a community we make a difference to owners and Guinea Pigs lives. There is no site like it anywhere else.

I joined TGPF about two months ago, since then my poor sweet boy has been having various problems and the advice and support received from the members on here has been amazing - not just for my piggies either! Certainly won't be leaving any time soon! The community is astounding and there's tons of advice and tips on helping your piggy's live both a healthy and enriched life - everyone here makes such a difference to each other's and our piggies lives. Haven't found this on any other piggy sites, so I've stuck to this one! :D

I joined when I got my two boys last year. Thanks to this forum Kasper has recovered from his abscess, Uno got a great new home with @lisaali and I continue to learn more each day!

Its things like this that makes this forum so good for all things guinea pig related. Through the forum we have met so many lovely people who care passionately for their piggies and are always there for slaves and piggies alike

Our story is not dissimilar to many of the stories that we have read so far. Back in 2012 we lost one of our piggies which left us with a lone boar Wallace. We knew that we couldn't just replace him with any other boar and that it was up to Wallace to choose a new forever friend. We found this forum and were introduced to the concept of boar dating and more importantly the existence of guinea pig rescues. Through this forum we adopted a baby boar from a member. Also we adopted further guinea pigs from a rescue and the rest is history.

Earlier on this year we were honoured and asked to become moderators on the forum to which obviously we said yes. If we can give back 50% of what the forum has given us we would feel happy :yahoo:

I found this forum shortly after getting my girls at the beginning of this year, but never really got involved until a few weeks later when I discovered that not one, but both were pregnant. All throughout the pregnancies and post-birth, the support and advice I received was informative, friendly and completely invaluable - I don't know how I would have managed without it! The same applied when most of my then-herd of ten came down with ringworm and at times I felt like giving in, but thanks again to the support of this forum, we got through it!

I have had the great fortune to meet a few members, both at the Birmingham meet and in the process of rehoming my surprise babies, and I am so honoured to be a part of such a warm, friendly community, the likes of which I have never before experienced - on or offline.

Everyone has their piggies' interests and well-being at heart, and any advice or suggestions are given with the best of intentions.

At the end of the day, it's so great to be able to share experiences, anecdotes and photos with a group of like-minded people who will never tire of hearing about all things piggy! :)

I found this forum on the same day as getting my first piggie for some years, Clive. The forum was a godsend and helped immensely with all of the things that I never knew about piggies as a child. Since then life may have gotten in the way but I have always returned to TGPF as the advice is truly inspiring and despite making mistakes - as all of us have - I have never felt judged by the helpful and caring community. Long reign this forum, and I hope it inspires and helps future piggie slaves as much as it has myself.

I found this forum after I was being naughty on the internet - I was polishing a ban hammer without a licence. My internet parole officer told me if I didn't join the forum to help with all the furry little critters in need, they were sending me back to the internet slammer  the rest is history. :tu:

As a piggie novice, and having heard all the 'guineas smell' etc comments i hadn't planned any. but after seeing some on youtube with fleece bedding i was stunned. they had the midwest cage which the base is washable and thus i started research. i found a home here, full of great advice, wonderful, and fun not just guinea pig related byt with genuinly nice people always up for a chat about whatever. you guys had all the information i needed right on hand, and then my journey began. you even helped me sus out that where my original piggies were comming from was just a horrid back yard breeder! i cant thank the forum enough, because without you, we would not have our beautiful boys.

I joined a few months ago (maybe 5) because I was looking for a forum and another forum you had to sign some sort of thing to join and then send it to the forum with your parents signature and of course I was too lazy to do that so I came across this forum! But then I made my account and then my email wasn't working so I could not verify it so a week later I stumbled across this forum again and in a second attempt to verify my account it finally worked!

But that was back when I only had Gizi so I named my account Gizi and I also didn't have my YouTube account and if I did I would have named my account Hay Cake but now I don't want to let go of this Username! Complicated Huh?
