Hi! Right now the tempeture in my house is 53(11.6 celcius) degrees. Ive turned the heater on but itll take a couple of hours to warm up, i know that 53 is to low but how long can they stay in this tempeture? I have a 6 year old and 6 month old. Ive given them a blanket, what else can i do?

It might even take more then a couple of hours to warm up, my heater is very slow.

I thought about it like a frozen water bottle in the summer! You could also cover their cage with a blanket to keep heat in and any drafts out.
Thanks! I do have a blanket over their cage right now. Would that be enough? Also should i fully cover it or only partially, i dont want to sufficate them.

Hi

I would recommend to buy a couple of mirowaveable snugglesafes. She come in handly in winter; especially with older piggies.

As a stop gap measure, a hot water bottle wrapped in fleece or a towel will be the handiest.

You want to use warm and not boiling hot water anyway. so the hot water bottle should be fine.

It got up to 60 degrees(15.5 celcius) should i take away the bottle and blanket?
