Just wondering..for those that have heated sheds what temperatures you run yours at? I have an oil heater and try to keep the temperature a steady 15 degrees (i have a wireless temperature sensor by my bed so I know if they are OK..bit OCD I know :red!) . Seems to be fine but keen to know what others run at?

As a general rule, if its too hot or cold for you, then its too hot or cold for them. 15'C sounds sensible though. 15-20 is probably what i would keep them at. Its not OCD, i was thinking of doing the same for my lot and if i start a rescue. Its a very good idea.

x.

lol, I have a wireless temperature monitor too! Mine logs the data as well so I can upload it to my PC in the morning and see how cold it got during the night on a pretty chart. :))

I've got a small oil-filled radiator in the shed and I use it to keep the edge off the cold rather than fully heat it. I like to keep it at a minimum of 5-7C but at the moment it stays around 9-10C most nights. The hutch inside has a thermal-lined cover and my girls like to stay in the bedroom where it's really snug.

My radiator has 2 settings, high and low - both warm. I put it on the lower setting and put the thermostat on 3/4 of the dial. That keeps the temp just nice.

Thanks for your responses...at least now I know its not just me who is obsessive about their temp,.....Ihave been known to check the temp at 3am in the morning, laid in bed for about 5 mins stressing and then gone down to the shed to turn it up! other half thinks I am mad as do the guineas who are usually snuggled up and toasty warm, sound asleep and not happy about being disturbed...oh well!

Its when the temp in the shed is warmer than the bedroom, I keep that one secret! :))

I've got a heater in my shed and its climate controlled to 18 degrees C
Its called an oil free, and looks similar to a oiled filled one but heats up instantly.

Oh that sounds good. Can you send me some details? Make etc? Mine is not easy to control temp wise, I would love to just set it at say 15 and let it do the work! I have to constantly tweaks mine!
