I was just playing with my guinea pigs and they were sat on a pillow in between my partner and I and they seemed happy, but then Guss started teeth chattering for no reason.... He had been absolutely fine just wandering around and sitting being stroked with no aggressive behaviour or sad noises.

Can anyone help with why this may have happened? I have no idea what upset him or whether we were mistaken aobut the noise but it certainly sounded like chattering teeth!

yeah we did wonder about that as he never pees or poos on us so he may have needed to go. We popped them both back in their cage so hopefully that was all it was. We also have some building work going on in the flat today so maybe he was just venting some worry but he had been fine up until then, fell asleep on my lap cuddled into my dressing gown an everything.

My one boy will let me know when he needs to go, the other one have wet me 3 times in one week!
I am starting to think he saves it for cuddles - he is such a hyperactive boy, HATES sitting still.
So, mommy gets it almost every time I try to cuddle with him.
Silly boy!

Hmmm I am really confused now as he has never done it before now, but he never wees on me either! but i just had him out again now and he was very happy and fell asleep on my lap with the blanket again and he seemed so relaxed and happy but then occasionaly he would chatter and then he would stop and start whilst still seeming very sleepy and relaxed. Hmmmm when i put him down he did do a little poo but I'm not sure if that was just coincidence or not.... any other experiences similar?
