Hi I’ve had 2 of my guinea pigs for a while now they live together but now all of sudden they start teeth chattering at each other and rumble strutting idk what to do should I separate them if so which one and for how long?

How old are they now? Sorry I can’t quite remember though I think they’re quite young. Teeth chattering and rumblestrutting is all part of dominance behaviour. Is there anything else you’ve seen them doing? Any chasing, mounting or humping? When they teeth chattering at each other, what happens? Have a read of the guides I’m linking below. You have to be careful not to separate too soon. For a bond to work, there can only be one top pig. If the unde rpif doesn’t accept their position then that can spell trouble if top pig also won’t accept becoming the underpig.

They just jump at at each other and chase each other but I haven’t seen no hair pulling or anything that can hurt them and one is older than the other

Are they older than 4 months? As said, have a read of the guides I linked above.

I don’t know how old they are but I got the oldest one for PetSmart on December and the little one I got him a month later but I can’t estimate how old they are and yea I’ll read it right now sorry

As long as there is no fighting or drawing blood, then do not separate them. They sound like they are coming up to being teenagers, so seeing dominance is to be expected
