Taming Progress?

Ariel and Aurora are getting SO tame! I can now stroke Ariel in her cage without her moving or squeaking at all, and I can stroke Aurora's head without her moving. She actually closes her eyes slowly as though she's enjoying it :D They also both eat from my hand without being scared. They're both so adorable, I love them to pieces. How tame are your piggies?
 
mine are 50/50% literally I have 2 that will only eat from my hand when THEY want to and stroking in the cage is out of the question. And my other two I have now taught to let me stroke them in their cage and they eat out of my hand quite happily, ive even trained one of them to stand up and give me a kiss before he gets his food hehe.
 
Sounds like they're really getting used to you!

Brillo (in my avatar picture) will let me stroke his head, and he comes to the front of the cage to greet me every morning. But he hates being picked up, always has done since he was a baby.
His best friend always let me pick him up. He would sit in your arms for hours and just go along with anything. Think they were both as 'tame', they just have different personalities.

Its so lovely when they start getting used to you! :)
 
How old are your piggies? Mine are about 16 weeks - hate being picked up, but sit still once they're held, one eats from my hand and over the last couple of days has developed a habit of standing on her back legs to get the food! Can't touch either of them in their cage though
 
Mine sound about the same as yours chukkin, they don't shoot off to hide now either when someone comes into the room, and they always come to the bars when they hear their nuggets being shaken!
 
Lovely news! All of mine will come for food, but not all like being touched; it very much depends on their character and background.
 
Mine both come for food :) my boar, Streak, likes fuss in the cage, both hate being picked up but Bumble loves lap time once she is safely in my arms :)

Love them so much :love:
