I noticed the other day that Sylvia has a little dot shaped cut on the end of her nose. It's very tiny and doesn't seem to be bother her. She's acting and eating completely normal. I'll post pics of it later after my phone is charged.
Any ideas what it could be & should I take her to the vet?

Hi

Just keep an eye on it for the time being. It is hopefully nothing to worry about.

You may want to see a vet if the area grows bigger with every passing day and develops a crust (fungal/ringworm) or if there are signs of infection when the scab comes off.

For reference pictures (if needed): New piggy problems: URI - ringworm - skin parasites

Alright, thanks for the help!

Recently it's been getting bigger. I called my usual vet and they don't have any appointments until Monday at 4:30 which I can't do.
They suggested calling another vet as this "shouldn't wait too long." Also, I'm not sure if it was Sylvia who did it, but this morning I noticed some reddish brown wee in the cage. Anything I can do for Sylvia until I can get her in?

Hi!

The pee and the nose are not related. But all the best for having her seen.
Rusty pees are usually just strongly oxidised pees; sometimes they do that more than other times but if you have concerns, have her checked.

Ok, thanks! I'm getting her in early on Saturday morning. 🤞

Unfortunately, it is impossible to say what is going on with the nose but if it was fungal, it would at least showing first signs of spreading so it could be diagnosed - or a fungal diagnosis can be excluded by the vet if that is not the case.
