Has anyone else had this issue? A week or so ago, out of the blue, my daisy’s toe was quite swollen. We were told it could be fungal, but the vet doesn’t think So, but we are trying antibiotics and an oral anti-fungal to rule it out. She said if that’s not the problem, sometimes they have to go under anesthesia and amputate the toe, but she doesn’t want to do that without exhausting all other options. She said x-rays would be preferable as well to rule of lysis of the bone; she just didn’t have that equipment on hand to be able to do xrays on a animal that small.
