Swollen Piggy

Guinea pigs don’t get constipated. How old is he and could he be impacted? I’m afraid he needs to see the vet. I assume it’s your parents not allowing you to take him? As the adults they accepted the responsibility of meeting their welfare needs. If they don’t allow him to see the vet then they are failing to do so.

Yes check him for impaction. I used to have an older boy piggy and he had it. Still get him seen by a vet though just to be sure. It’s easily sorted out. 😊

Yes he is impacted and he is completely my pet but they wont let me take him to the vet.

You need to help him and clear it out then. Is there anyone else you could ask to help you get him to the vet? You can maybe get them to do it first time then continue from there.

If you’re not allowed to take him now, would they let you when it’s more serious? And does he have a friend? They shouldn’t live alone.

Why do you need your parents permission to take him to the vet? Can you not just register him and take him yourself?
