I apologize in advance for my English, it is not my native

10 days ago we faced a problem, taking the pig in our hands, we realized that he lost a lot of weight. This same day we took the pig to an oral surgeon, who said to give meloxidil (anesthesia) and feed with supplementary food. She could not file the teeth because of the lack of equipment and we signed up in another clinic where we got in 3 days. There the mumps teeth were filed and in addition morflaxin was prescribed for a week (antibiotic).

The whole week we fed him with supplementary food and gave him medication, but he never started to eat. After that we went again to the rotologist, the veterinarian said that last time did not finish (for some reason) and did this procedure again.
But after 2 days the pig still does not start to eat

In addition, he has an apathetic state and noticed swelling of the lips. Today we also noticed hair loss around his eyes.

Unfortunately the city is not big and there is only one rotologist in it, who we have already been to, but judging by her advice, she is not very qualified. We sent her a photo of the swollen lips, she said it's not terrible and suggested to just continue to feed pre-feeding. I will be glad to any advice. Thank you!

The pig weighed 1 kilo and is now 800gramm.
-The pig is 3 years old.
-Lives with another pig who is half a year old.
-No previous health problems.

RATION:
-Dry fodder
-Hay always available
-Meal during the day. Parsley, cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce, etc.

Hi and welcome

I am so sorry.

Please step in with syringe feeding in order to make up for the reduced hay intake. If the dentals were not done well, a piggy won't be eating afterwards.

This guide tells you how to go about it and how much and how often to feed with a syringe and how to monitor the food intake and weight with all the little how-to tips:

What really worries me is are swollen lips/mouth. Have your vets checked for a potential oral mouth infection or an adverse reaction to the medication?

Could the swelling be Cheilitis? I note that tomatoes are part of the piggy's diet.

Sorry your piggy is having these problems, @Ikurylyov . Sending him lots of healing wishes 💓

No, I don't think so.
Cheilitis (lip infection) is like pododermatities (bumblefoot or infection of the foot skin) - germs getting into tiny cracks in the skin of the lips and causing local infection and localised scabs. Here the full lip is swollen.

It is however very rare that we see swollen lips like these on here.

So sorry your little piggie is poorly. Keep up with the syringe feeding and ask the vet if there a possibility of infection around the lips and mouth
